New Orleans, La - Tom McKenzie a member of the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group has recently donated four classic motorcycles to the Bernard Vehicle Foundation to be put up for auction with all proceeds  going to assist the Children of Haiti. 

The motorcycles are value at approximately $20,000 and were put forward as a challenge to other cyclists in support of the People in Haiti.  This generous donation was design to benefit the children charities of Haiti.  

With media attention now completely removed from Haiti Tom McKenzie selected a time such as now in order to make this announcement. "The children of Haiti still need our help and this donation is only part of a series of donation we plan to make as we continue our support for the People of Haiti." 

Over the last 10 years Tom McKenzie, along with many within Canadian Business Community worked diligently to support organizations like the Make a Wish Foundation, and other Children's Charities. The group also targets for support non-profit organizations that specialize in helping needy individuals who are not registered with public assistance groups. The foundation that he heads has absolutely no administration fees applied against any money collected or given, and whenever possible the donations that are made are kept anonymous.

 With anonymous donations and no administration fees, Tom McKenzie Charities are able to keep the main focus on providing needed support to those in need. All of the business community working with Mr. McKenzie has come to understand the value of anonymous giving, and many business owners have fully embraced the concept. 

With Tom McKenzie interest in vintage motorcycles particularly Sidecars he has devised a creative way to entertain children with special needs. Tom McKenzie's vintage sidecar motorcycles allow children with special needs to participate in formal events as well as ride in parades.

  "This has been a mutually beneficial experience for both the kids as well as the riders in our club. The sidecars are a great way to get these kids involved in life, rather than always on the sideline watching. " 

Tom McKenzie went on to say that as a result of the Sidecars we have participated in a few military events as well as government presentations. More recently the group's sidecars were featured in the Governor General formal Veterans' Day presentation 

Tom McKenzie says that he would like to inspire other motor cycle groups to get more involved in their communities especially in the area of supporting children with special needs. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have their "mojo" back, as Billboard.com reports the veteran rock band will release their 12th studio album, aptly titled Mojo, on June 15. Two weeks after the CD release, Mojo will arrive on audio Blu-ray on June 29. The album is Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' first album in eight years (Tom Petty released his last solo album, Highway Companion, in 2006) and they are celebrating with a tour.

The band was originally slated to begin their road trip in Raleigh, N.C. on May 6 but will now kick off their tour—which sees them sharing the bill with Joe Cocker to start—on June 5 in Oakland, Calif. The band rescheduled the dates in order to sync up their album release and tour and will add on the rescheduled dates to the end of the trek.

Joe Cocker will open for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers for their first seven shows and a few of other veteran acts will support the band throughout the summer: ZZ Top and Crosby, Stills & Nash. Drive By Truckers and My Morning Jacket will also be along for the ride, which sees Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers performing in amphitheaters and arenas in cities like Morrison, Colo.; Oakland, Calif.; Vancouver, BC; George, Wash.; Calgary, AB; Saskatoon, SK; Kansas City, Mo.; Chicago, Ill.; Auburn Hills, Mich.; Burgettstown, Pa.; New York, N.Y.; Nashville, Tenn.; Hartford, Conn.; Tampa, Fla.; Charlotte, N.C.; Dallas, Texas and more before wrapping things up with a gig in Irvine, Calif. on Oct. 2.

Mojo is the follow-up to 2002's The Last DJ and Billboard.com reports that the album was recorded without overdubs (that's live off the floor for you music buffs) in a style reminiscent of Tom Petty's years with his first band, Mudcrutch. "Something Good Coming" is the lead single off Mojo, and the single has already been praised by Spinner.

"If the first single, 'Something Good Coming,' is any indication, it's safe to say that fans have a lot of good things coming indeed," writes Spinner. "Petty digs right into it with the Heartbreakers in step and the breezy sound marks a return to form for the famously crafty singer-songwriter." Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers recently debuted some new material on Saturday Night Live. Rolling Stone reports that the band was on hand to help SNL wrap up its 35th season on May 15—and it was their eighth appearance on the show! Petty first appeared on SNL during the fifth season of the NBC comedy sketch program in November 1979 and his most recent appearance was in April 1999 for a John Goodman-hosted show. On May 15, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers debuted two new tracks off Mojo: "I Should Have Known" and "Jefferson Jericho Blues." The show was hosted by another SNL regular, Alec Baldwin, who hosted the show for his 15th time (he now ties with SNL veteran Steve Martin).

Thai Hot and Sour Soup with prawns

 

Tom Yum is a very popular food in Thailand. Foreigners tend to know as Tom Yum Goong (Thai Hot and Sour Soup with prawns). All foreigners who visit Thailand often order Tom Yum Goong menu. Tom Yum Goong is a kind of soup that are hot and sour taste. Thai People favor to eat Tom Yum Goong with rice. In addition to prawns, Tom Yum can also enter other types of meat such as pork, chicken or fish variety.

Vegetables which need to put in Tom Yum, including lemon grass, galangal root, kiffir’s lime leaves and use lime juice, bird’s eye chily, sugar and fish sauce to seasoning. You can also include other vegetables such as tomato or mushroom (as straw mushroom or Sajor-caju mushroom).

Tom Yum Goong’s taste is hot and sour with salt (by fish sauce) and little sweet. In addition you can add Nam Prik Pao to have intense taste or add milk or coconut milk to have a silky taste that often called Tom Yum Goong Nam Khon.

As the well known that the Tom Yum Goong is very popular for foreigners. So, I will tell you how to make Tom Yum Goong.

Ingredients : (For 2 Serving)
1. Fresh peeled prawns 200 grams (7 oz.) (Can decrease as size of fresh prawns)
2. Straw mushroom 100 grams (3.5 oz.) (Slice 4 split.)
3. 2 Cups of water.
4. 2 Pieces of pounded fresh Lemon grass
5. 2 Slices of galangal root
6. Piece of pounded Coriander root
7. Kaffir lime leaves 3 leaves
8. 10-15 Pounded Bird's eye chilies (Can decrease as spicy as you can eat)
9. Fish sauce 5 tbsp.
10. Lime juice 5 tbsp.
11. 4 Fresh coriander leaves
